Job Description:

Hood College's Department of Biology has a tenure-track opening at the Assistant Professor  level for an endowed chair in biofuels/bioproducts research and education beginning August, 2018. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarly research and service to the department and college. We are searching for an individual whose research is connected to biofuels/bioproducts production within the larger context of sustainability issues.  Based on their expertise and interests, the successful candidate is expected to teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs, conduct research with undergraduate and graduate students and develop collaborations with local and regional partners to stimulate economic development in the biofuels/bioproducts area.   Candidates must possess a Ph.D.; postdoctoral work and teaching experience are preferred.
