Job Description:
VRL Eurofins is the Pre-Transplant Testing division of Eurofins, committed to servicing the transplant community with regional high complexity testing laboratories. Headquartered near Denver, Colorado, with satellite laboratories in or near Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, Atlanta, and Minneapolis, VRL Eurofins is continuing to expand throughout the United States and is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Laboratory Technologist I to work in Englewood, Colorado.

Laboratory Technologist I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Performs assigned daily laboratory testing in a timely and compliant manner, ensuring accurate result reporting to clients

• Ensures all established work instructions, operation procedures, and product specifications are followed at all times

• Ensures sample integrity (proper sample tracking, preparation, distribution, and storage) and testing within CLIA/GMP regulations and compliant documentation (GDP)

• Adjusts daily activities in response to direction from management and to changing priorities to meet customer needs

• Ensures that testing supplies and reagents are available, valid, and ready for timely use

• Participates in Continuing Education opportunities, and maintains currency in LABS required training

• Operates, calibrates, performs quality control checks and maintenance on instruments and equipment, and evaluates test results for accuracy and acceptability

• Ensures problems identified with instruments and equipment are reported to appropriate technical leadership promptly

• Miscellaneous duties in support of laboratory operations (duties are not limited to the tasks above - other duties will be assigned, as needed)

The ideal candidate would possess :

• General clinical laboratory skills

• Ability to organize, communicate, and work with others in an effective manner

• Analytical judgment, problem solving skills, accuracy and strong attention to details

• High level of integrity and honesty in performing tests, documenting test results and maintaining patient, client, employee and laboratory business confidentiality

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills

• Ability to work in a high stress, high volume environment

• Advanced mathematical skills

• Experience in college level laboratory courses with hands on use of general laboratory equipment and pipettes

• ASCP or ASHI certification

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science with 0 - 2 years of clinical laboratory related experience

• Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, CAP, ASHI)

• Must abide by all safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment mandated by LABS, Inc., OSHA and any other regulatory agency

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

This position is full-time, Tuesday - Wednesday and Friday - Saturday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Englewood, Colorado are encouraged to apply.
