Biologist - Intermediate


The Regulatory Product Characterization Center is currently seeking a contractor to work in the Analytics Technology Platform. The Regulatory Product Characterization Center is a fast paced, timeline driven, team-based scientific environment that requires researchers to contribute at the individual level on group-based projects, delivering high-quality, GLP-compliant results in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will work closely with researchers on a cross-functional team that performs the testing and assessments. The incumbent will perform key protein characterization, antibody screening, characterization and purification, immunoassay development and validation, Western blotting, and analysis of protein expression levels in plant tissues.

Qualifications Required Education and Skills/Experience: Minimum of a Bachelors Degree Minimum of 2 or more years of experience in protein sciences, analytical chemistry, soil chemistry, Agronomy, biology or a related technical field Ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral) Attention to detail and results orientation Agility to work on multiple projects and flexibility to meet business objectives Candidates should be able to work within a team, take direction and show initiative Desired Education and Skills/Experience: Experience with protein, antibodies, immunoassay, protein purification and determination is preferred Experience with ELN and other electronic systems Knowledge and/or experience working in an industrial setting Familiar with quality management systems
