Job Description:
SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of Pharmacy Director, Supervisor and Staff Pharmacist, prepares prescribed medications as needed for adequate patient care. Assists in training pharmacy staff to Pyxis systems. Completes increased duties with IV preparation, including chemotherapy preparation, and medication history process through patient interviews. Performs other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director and/or Supervisor to improve pharmaceutical care.Required Experience: Minimum one (1) year hospital pharmacy technician experience or student enrolled in pharmacy schoolRequired Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with State Board of Pharmacy, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or registered as a Pharmacy Intern
