Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacistperforms routine and specialized technical and clerical duties for drugdistribution to patients. This individual has excellent customer service skillsand is able to function independently within their scope ofresponsibility. The incumbent is able todemonstrate leadership skills on a day to day basis. This job builds on the responsibilities of a PharmacyTechnician Certified II.
Prepares prescription and non-prescription medicationand/or devices.
Stocks and replenishes stock locations andautomated dispensing machines and/or robots.
Serves as a preceptor and assists with orientingand training of pharmacy department staff. Provides CII oversight.
Communicates supply issues, problems ordiscrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
Assists with workflow management
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Associates degree in a health or relatedfield, with 1 year of pharmacy experience, or the equivalent in education andexperience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast pacedenvironment with accuracy.
Ability to multitask and attention todetail.
Ability to maintain composure understressful situations.
