We are currently seeking an energetic scientist to support drug discovery projects in our in vitro cancer biology team. The candidate will work closely with a Ph.D. scientist to implement and perform in vitro pharmacological, biochemical, and cell-based assays. Proficiency in tissue culture and cellular and molecular biology techniques (i.e. western blotting, RT-qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry) are required. Experience with antibody characterization is preferred. Candidate will be expected to work independently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment as part of a diverse research team.
BS, MS in molecular/cellular biology, cancer biology, pharmacology or related discipline with significant research experience as demonstrated by track record of publications and scientific accomplishments. Knowledge of cancer biology, practical cellular and molecular biology techniques are required. Organizational skills, experience with computer programs, including Microsoft Excel and GraphPad, are essential. Experience in drug discovery, pharmacology and automation are desired.
BS & 3-6+ years of work experience; MS & 2-4+ years of work experience required to ensure that candidate has necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to succeed in the position.
