The Seattle office is located in the beautiful Fremont neighborhood across from the Burke Gilman Trail and the Lake Washington Ship Canal. We have an opportunity in our Seattle office for an Entry Level Hydrogeologist. The right candidate will be self-motivated, analytical and detail oriented. Job ResponsibilitiesPerform hydrogeologic characterization assessments for water resource, dewatering, environmental, levee, and projects which will involve field work and travel.Provide field soil logging for hydrogeological and geotechnical drilling investigations.Perform quantitative analyses and modeling of groundwater systems using standard analytical techniques, and commercial numerical programs.Prepare written technical reports, project correspondence, field activity reports, data reports, and work plans for internal and client review.Support business development and marketing activities, including preparation of cost proposals and presentations to existing and prospective clients.Follow Shannon & Wilson's Quality Assurance Policy.Follow and promote Shannon & Wilson's Health & Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.QualificationsBS degree in Geology or Hydrogeology, MS degree preferred.0 to 6 years of experience in hydrogeology, including aquifer pumping tests, dewatering design and seepage analysis, stormwater infiltration testing, water quality sampling, and water supply system drilling and testing.Coursework and/or working background in hydrogeology.Desirable software skills include experience with GIS and Python.Shannon & Wilson offers a competitive benefits package to support our employees. In additional to base pay, all employees are also eligible for an annual year-end discretionary bonus.
